London, Ohio – The Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, long-time sponsors of Farm Science Review, is bringing the Touchstone Energy® hot-air balloon back to the Review this year.
Ohio State University's Farm Science Review will be held Sept. 18-20 at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, Ohio.
The 18-story hot-air balloon will make morning and evening flights (weather permitting) over the grounds each day of the event.
In addition, visitors to the Cooperatives’ Touchstone Energy® tent can receive information and view displays on energy-related topics like solar energy and small wind generators. They can review different types of insulation and get information on the proper methods of installing a portable electric generator. There also will be geothermal heating and cooling displays, as well as heat pump and water heating displays.
Outside the tent, attendees can learn how to stay safe around electricity with a life-sized “hot-line” demonstration.
The Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives have been part of Farm Science Review for more than 20 years. The Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc., is the statewide trade association that serves Ohio’s 25 Touchstone Energy® electric cooperatives.
Farm Science Review is sponsored by Ohio State University Extension, the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, and the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
